If you would like to attend Tango Connects in person and you are looking for a conveniently located accommodation in Berlin, here are some suggestions from our organisational team.
Also check out the info on how to travel to the conference venue from the airport.
In the same courtyard as the conference venue Nou Tango, you will find the Hostel Ballhaus Berlin, which offers shared and private rooms for very affordable prices. Not only is it next to Nou Tango, but it is also located in the very center of Berlin, walking distance from U-Bahn station “Naturkundemuseum” from where you can travel to anywhere in the city. However, you can already explore Mitte (the Berlin center) by foot!
Ballhaus also has a café and a “beer garden” with a chill outside terrace.
Alternative Options
Another affordable accommodation in the same street as the conference venue is Mitte’s Backpacker Hostel, just a bit further down towards the U-Bahn station.
If you are looking for slightly more comfortable option, have a look at Hotel Arena, less than 5 minutes walking from Nou Tango, or check out the Mercure Hotel Berlin City, which is situated across from to the U-Bahn station.
For higher price end and a more luxurious accommodation, right across the street from the conference venue you will find the Titanic Hotel (yes, we also think the name is peculiar!) which even has a spa.
And of course, Berlin offers a vast amount of affordable airbnb housing and other rental and hotel options.
Traveling to Conference Venue
Berlin has an excellent infrastructure when it comes to trains, subway, buses and trams. Here is a quick guide on how to get to the conference venue from various points of arrival.
From Brandenburg Airport (BER) to Central Station (Hauptbahnhof)
At the airport follow the indications to the trains and take the Airport Express Train (Flughafen Express or FEX) to the Central Station (Berlin Hauptbahnhof). You can buy tickets in vending machines, make sure you get a ticket covering zones ABC (Mitte district is zone A). The express train runs frequently and takes about 30 mins to the city center.
From Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) to Nou Tango Mitte
At the Central Station walk to the subway station (S+U Berlin Hauptbahnhof) and take the tram M10 or M8 to Naturkundemuseum (2 stops). Nou Tango Mitte is about 5min walk from there.
There are also other regional trains going from the airport into the city and connecting various subway stations, check the Google Maps for the full list.
